Our Story

Mithila Center USA was established to preserve, celebrate, and promote the rich heritage of Mithila through art, education, and cultural engagement. Rooted in the traditions of Janakpur and the wider Mithila region, the organization was created to give Mithila culture a meaningful platform in the United States and beyond.

What began as a cultural initiative has grown into a broader movement that connects artists, families, youth, and communities across Nepal, India, and the diaspora. Through exhibitions, festivals, workshops, and public programs, Mithila Center USA has helped bring Mithila heritage into community spaces, civic venues, and international platforms.
